Dinâmica geoeconômica do setor industrial em Renascença – PR

Abstract

The present study seeks to analyze and understand the geoeconomic dynamics of the industrial sector in the municipality of Renascença (PR), with emphasis on the genesis and evolution of its industrial areas. Therefore, this research aims to understand how the industrialization process developed over time in the municipality, identifying the historical, geographical, and institutional factors that conditioned the creation of Industrial Areas I and II, as well as the impacts of the industrial sector on the local economy. In addition, the study considers the historical process of industrialization and deindustrialization in Brazil, industrialization in the state of Paraná, and the formation of the municipality of Renascença within the context of the occupation and colonization of Southwestern Paraná. The methodology, characterized as qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory, was based on a literature review, the collection of primary and secondary data, interviews, and fieldwork. The results revealed a significant increase in the number of industrial establishments and industrial jobs in the municipality of Renascença following the implementation of industrial development incentive policies by the municipal government during the 1990s. These policies led to the establishment of Industrial Area I in 1995 and Industrial Area II in 2000, marking a milestone in the expansion of industrial activities in the municipality.
