Aspectos históricos da formação de professores normalistas no município de Laranjeiras do Sul - PR (1946 - 1980)

Abstract

The object of research was to study the training of teachers in the city of Laranjeiras do Sul - PR between the years 1946-1980, with emphasis on the history of the Normal Junior High School Floriano Peixoto (1946-1967) and the Normal High School Dr. Leoncio Correia (1958-1980). One of the central questions of the study was: How did the training of normalist teachers in the municipality? This question led to other questions, which helped in understanding the trajectory of normal schools. Characterized as documental and qualitative approach, the research aimed to analyze the historical background of these institutions considering the economic, political and social context of the time seeking to notice the relations established between the trajectory of local education and state and national education. Regarding the time frame, the year 1946 marked the creation of the Regional Normal Course in Iguaçu, the Federal Capital Territory of Iguaçu, currently the town of Laranjeiras do Sul. Meanwhile, 1980 was the last year for which that model of School Normal worked, being replaced by the offer of Empowerment Specific to the Magisterium, established by Law No. 5,692 / 71. To understand how historically constituted these two institutions, we built analysis in different sources: the educational legislation, documents produced within schools, photographs, newspaper articles and oral sources with conducting six interviews with former teachers and former normalists. For the theoretical and methodological foundation, we use studies Ghiraldelli Jr. (2003, 2009), Hilsdorf (2011), Lazier (2004), Lelis (1989), Lopes (2002), Miguel (1997, 2005), Romanelli (2012 ), Saviani (1999, 2008, 2009, 2011), Tanuri (2000), Wachowicz (1987), Xavier (1990, 2005), among others. With regard to work with primary sources, we conclude that their survey, cataloging, analysis and interpretation aided the preservation of local historical memory and allowed us to understand the history of institutions, as part of a broader context. At the end of the survey found that both schools had their origin in an articulated between national policies and the needs of the local elite, who saw education as an important element in the achievement of the senior posts in the job market. We conclude that although the Normal Schools have not fulfilled their real formative role in supporting schools in the interior, is revealed as a victory for the local society, forming, since their first classes, great exponents of education in the municipality.
