A agroecologia como paradigma para a promoção do direito humano à alimentação: a atuação da ASSESOAR no sudoeste paranaense

Abstract

The present research aims to historicize and update the thematic link between the Brazilian agrarian question and food security, based on the performance of ASSESOAR, in the southwest of Paraná. More specifically, it seeks to understand how the contemporary restructuring of the Brazilian agrarian issue focuses on the promotion of food security and environmental sustainability as a fundamental human right, bringing Social Service closer to such interpretations. For that, the theoretical survey, the critical revision, bibliographical review and reflection on the subject had been carried out. In this way, the restructuring of the Brazilian food dilemma was contextualized based on the theoretical-conceptual relationship between the contemporary agrarian question and the affirmation of food security and environmental sustainability as fundamental human rights. In the sequence, the work turns to the aspects of the geography of the hunger in the south-west of Paraná, in the attempt to draw a map of the hunger in the region. At the moment the research work was conducted by the field research, with the accomplishment of the interviews with the municipalities whose entity ASSESOAR extends its work. A total of 17 municipalities were interviewed, one farmer being a partner of the entity by municipality, thus composing the universe of the research. The interviews were recorded and with a questionnaire elaborated the respondents - with authorization - provided the necessary information to analyze the research. With the field research, the objective was to identify the role of ASSESOAR as a promoter of safe and ecologically correct food, capable of breaking with the paradigm of hunger and food insecurity that derives from the preponderant agricultural model.
