Ação coletiva na Feira do Produtor de Toledo - PR: o processo de organização da AFERTOL

Abstract

The first experience of this activity in Toledo dates back to the beginning of the 1980s, when small growers used to sell some agricultural products in different parts of the city open market. Since then, these people have been trying to establish this activity in the city, selling their products in many places in town. Ever since the beginning, EMATER and the Department of Agriculture in Toledo have been supporting the development of this activity. In 2001, according to a Project of reformulation developed by these two institutions, the open market of producers in Toledo increased the offer of products through the inclusion of new growers into the open market (producers and bakers from the town), and the variety of offers, making the open market more attractive to customers. With this activity and the organization of the vendors, in 2014 AFERTOL became a reality, which was considered a very important step in the process of organization and development of the group. In this context, the research tried to identify the production of the collective action of the association of growers in Toledo according to their social relations and delegation of power between the members. As an attempt to operationalize this activity, it was made a field research with a semi-structured questionnaire with the growers, organizing the result in discussion of works of literature search that deals with the research problem, the organization of the open market and social and organizational relations of growers and vendors.
