Abstract: This study aimed to identify and understand the social and labor differences that permeate the professional advancement of women in the municipality of Toledo/PR. Employing a mixed methodology, which combined the analysis of secondary data from the Annual Social Information Report (RAIS) with the collection of primary data via structured questionnaires applied to 54 women in leadership positions, the research revealed a panorama of advancements and persistent inequalities. Sociodemographic results showed that, despite high educational qualifications (50% with specialization/MBA) and a central financial role in their families, there is a striking sectoral segregation, with 73.58% of leaders concentrated in the Services sector. The analysis of income differentials confirmed that women consistently earn less than men at all education levels, and that 22% of them did not receive a salary increase upon career progression, with 52.94% feeling that their remuneration is below ideal. The influence of family structure indicated that the double burden and motherhood significantly impact career progression, with 64.70% of women facing work-life balance difficulties. Finally, the evaluation of organizational difficulties highlighted structural barriers such as prejudice (31.40%) and lack of career planning (29.40%). Counterintuitively, the study challenged the generalization of the "Queen Bee Syndrome," demonstrating predominant solidarity and mutual support among women leaders. In conclusion, the research reiterates the need for transformative organizational and public policies that deconstruct biases, promote transparency, and ensure truly equitable work environments for the full recognition of female merit.

Abstract: This dissertation aims to investigate how the integration between Rural Education and the ethical principles of permaculture, caring for the Earth, Caring for People, and Sharing Surpluses, can contribute to the construction of a pedagogical project focused on the formation of the ecological subject. The research starts from the premise that the rural school, by valuing traditional knowledge, community life, and the relationship with the territory, constitutes a privileged space for the development of critical, contextualized, and transformative educational practices. Among the specific objectives, the following stand out: identifying the environmental content present in Brazilian public schools; conceptualizing the terms "place" and "rural situation" in light of environmental literature; discussing the theoretical and practical challenges of socio-environmental education within the scope of Rural Education; The research, with a qualitative and exploratory approach, is based on a literature review and a study of projects carried out in school institutions where the results were satisfactory. Thus, the analysis of educational experiences revealed that permaculture, when incorporated into the school curriculum as an ethical and methodological foundation, expands the possibilities for holistic education, promoting autonomy, belonging, and ecological awareness among students. As a result of the study, it is concluded that the articulation between Rural Education and permaculture offers a viable and promising path for the formation of the ecological subject, a critical individual rooted in their territory and committed to environmental regeneration and social transformation. The proposal presented contributes to the strengthening of sustainable pedagogical practices, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and reaffirms the role of the rural school as a space of resistance, innovation, and emancipation.

Abstract: The increasing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has intensified the search for new bioactive compounds from natural sources. In this context, stingless bees and their products represent promising alternatives due to their rich microbial symbioses. This study investigated the antimicrobial activity of honeys produced by Scaptotrigona bipunctata, a stingless bee species endemic to Brazil, and aimed to isolate microorganisms potentially responsible for this activity. Honey samples were collected from five different localities in Toledo, Paraná, Brazil. Antimicrobial susceptibility was evaluated against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus, and Streptococcus pyogenes using agar well diffusion assays. All samples inhibited S. aureus, while no activity was observed against E. coli. The most active sample also inhibited B. cereus and S. pyogenes. A total of 25 bacterial isolates were obtained from the honeys under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Two isolates exhibited antagonistic activity against S. aureus, with their cell-free supernatants (CFS) producing inhibition zones and showing minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 25%. The isolates were initially identified as Gram-positive bacteria. These findings indicate that S. bipunctata honey and its associated microbiota are potential sources of antimicrobial compounds, particularly against Gram-positive bacteria, underscoring their biotechnological relevance for the development of novel therapeutic agents.

<title>A participação do Movimento Estudantil na política de formação profissional em serviço social no Brasil nos anos 1990</title>

Abstract: This dissertation analyzes the participation of the Social Work Student Movement (MESS) in professional training policy in Brazil during the 1990s, highlighting its role in the internal democratization of the Brazilian Association of Teaching and Research in Social Work (ABEPSS) — formerly the Brazilian Association of Schools of Social Work (ABESS) — and in the formulation of the 1996 Curriculum Guidelines. The research starts from the following problem: what processes were decisive for the political participation of Social Work students in the professional training policy coordinated by ABESS/ABEPSS in the 1990s? The general objective is to historically analyze this participation, articulating it with the ethical-political project of the profession. The specific objectives involve uncovering the student confrontations and agendas of the 1980s and 1990s; investigating the trajectory of the MESS and its relationship with ABESS/ABEPSS; and examining student action in the process of curricular revision and approval of the 1996 Curriculum Guidelines. and to analyze student representation within the organization's structure. The historical-dialectical materialism method is adopted, combining bibliographic research, document analysis, and semi-structured interviews with new activists who were active in the MESS in the 1990s and later joined the administrations of ABEPSS and/or the Federal Council of Social Work (CFESS). The analysis reveals that the MESS, heir to a tradition of resistance within the Brazilian student movement, consolidated itself as an independent political subject, articulating general agendas—such as the defense of public, free, secular, and high-quality universities—with specific demands of the profession, such as curricular reform and the democratization of ABEPSS's decision-making bodies. It is evident that the 1990s, marked by the neoliberal offensive and productive restructuring, constituted a decisive moment of political tension and collective formulation in Social Work, in which student protagonism was crucial for the consolidation of a critical and socially referenced training policy, particularly in the debate on the Curricular Guidelines. By recording this trajectory, the study contributes to the political memory of the profession and reaffirms the importance of student activism as a formative and influential space, capable of connecting academic training to broader social struggles.
