<title>Uma cartografia do corpo: lições do professor Deleuze</title>

<description>Title: Uma cartografia do corpo: lições do professor Deleuze

Abstract: This study aimed to develop and evaluate heterogeneous catalysts produced from recyclable soda-lime vitreous waste, combined with eggshells and NaOH, for application in two environmentally relevant chemical pathways: the transesterification of vegetable oils for biodiesel production and the depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) to obtain terephthalic acid (PTA). The proposal is based on the valorization of municipal solid waste through its transformation into sustainable catalytic materials, aligned with the principles of green chemistry and the circular economy. The samples were characterized using various analytical techniques, including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, laser-induced optical emission spectroscopy (LIBS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and particle size analysis by laser scattering. The results of these analyses confirmed significant structural and chemical changes in the glass matrix, such as the presence of hydroxylated groups, modification of the silicate network, the elimination of carbonates, and the incorporation of elements such as sodium and calcium, which are directly associated with catalytic activity in basic reactions. Particle size analysis, through statistical analysis of the data, confirmed the good uniformity in sphere size, validating the methodology used in their manufacture. In the catalytic tests, we obtained a 60% methyl ester content in the production of biodiesel from the transesterification of soybean oil, and conversions exceeding 70% in the depolymerization of PET for PTA recovery, even under moderate operating conditions. These results highlight the potential of the developed catalysts as substitutes for conventional catalysts. Future studies aimed at improving their physicochemical properties, as well as optimizing reaction parameters and conditions, could increase their catalytic efficiency.

Abstract: The pursuit of a higher quality of life has become increasingly prominent in the modern world, which has consequently led to a continuous rise in electricity demand. In this context, photovoltaic solar energy stands out as a sustainable alternative widely adopted in several countries. This study aims to conduct a theoretical analysis and the sizing of a photovoltaic system for a consumer unit classified under Group A. The evaluation was carried out considering the future installation of the system in the city of Paranavaí, located in the northwestern region of the state of Paraná, Brazil. To develop the study, essential aspects were examined, such as the contracted demand and the tariff modality suitable for the typical energy consumption profile of Group A consumers. Subsequently, the photovoltaic generation system was sized to supply the required power for the unit, followed by an economic-financial feasibility analysis. The results indicate that no adjustment to the contracted demand is necessary and that the green time-of-use tariff modality remains the most appropriate option. It was also determined that the required generation capacity to meet the consumer’s needs is approximately 168.9 kWp. The financial return analysis showed an estimated payback period of 5.3 years, demonstrating the attractiveness of the system.

Abstract: This thesis investigates the moral foundations of the exercise of governmental authority. The research problem asks which ultimate principles of political morality should guide governmental action so as to satisfy the requirements of legitimacy and justice articulated by Ronald Dworkin. The general objective is to identify principles of political morality capable of functioning as truth conditions for the public actions of governments — and, to some extent, of legislatures — taking as its framework the theory of law as integrity. More specifically, it seeks to: (i) highlight the role of morality, alongside law, as an ordering instance of political action; (ii) reconstruct the foundations of Dworkin’s thought concerning the presence of moral judgments in everyday life, in politics, and in law; and (iii) ultimately extract from this conception principles of political morality that may serve as a basis for understanding and evaluating the public actions of administrative governments. The research is justified, on the theoretical level, by the relative scarcity of studies that examine the philosophical foundations of public action from the standpoint of an integrated theory of law, politics, and knowledge; and, on the practical level, by its potential to provide analytical tools for assessing modes of governance. The conclusion is that public action should be grounded both in substantive values linked to equality and liberty — which, under a liberal egalitarian interpretation, may be expressed through the principles of fair social cooperation and existential authorship — and in attitudinal requirements that guide governmental deliberation and decision-making, which may be expressed through the principles of moral objectivity and political responsibility. The research is bibliographic and documentary in nature; its objective is exploratory, and its methodological approach is hypothetico-deductive.
