Abstract: This paper looks at the role of children's literature in resisting the military dictatorship in Brazil
(1964-1985) and Argentina (1976 - 1983) by studying the works História meio ao contrário (1977), by Ana Maria Machado, and the short story Un elefante ocupa mucho espacio (1975), by Elsa Bonermann. Like other cultural manifestations, children's literature suffered censorship and restrictions, being considered dangerous to "morals and good customs". The text highlights the importance of children's literature as a little-explored historical source that can help to understand the unknown past and identify social subjects and the world in which they lived. Historical research based on children's books can help to understand the ways in which authors expressed their ideas and feelings and, at the same time, exercised forms of political resistance in the context of dictatorial regimes.

Abstract: This thesis addresses the life and work of artists Violeta Franco (19322006) and Helena Wong (1938-1990), between the 1950s and 1980s, considering their productions from a feminist perspective, whereby female artists are considered as cultural producers. (POLLOCK, 2019. During the period in question, we had in Paraná the constitution of an art that broke with so-called “academic” values, in which artists moved fluidly between modern figurative and abstractionism, contributing to a new artistic movement, seeking to free itself from institutional systems and moral norms that do not recognize and/or value female participation in public life and the arts. The objective of this work was to understand how artists Violeta Franco and Helena Wong used used their pictorial productions to negotiate with dominant power regimes, performing the genre in different ways, in which these compositions functioned as practices of freedom, criticizing social frameworks and the canons of art history. To this end, the problems were observed of gender present in this time and space, the processes of subjectivation, the forms of action/performances present in the artists' compositions, as well as the questions and/or negotiations they made with this reality, occupying places previously restricted to male subjects. The analysis is anchored in the feminist perspective on the History of Art by Griselda Pollock (2019) and in the problematizations suggested by Michel Foucault (1979; 1985; 2004; 2010) when thinking about history in a genealogical way, valuing the experiences and processes of subjectivation in search of a more ethical and fulfilling life, developing what he calls the aesthetics of existence.

Abstract: The passion fruit tree is a climbing fruit tree that is widely cultivated in all regions of Brazil and has undergone updates in the production system for single-cycle crops, making it feasible to use tall seedlings. Two experiments were carried out with the aim of evaluating the development of passion fruit seedlings submitted to the application of sources and doses of silicon around the stem (drench) directly into the substrate. The design used was randomized blocks (RBC). In the first experiment, in a 5x4 factorial scheme, five cultivars were evaluated in the absence of silicon, magnesium silicate, potassium silicate and silicic acid at the equivalent dose of 0.084 g L-1 of silicon per application, distributed in three blocks. In the second experiment, a 5x4 factorial scheme was used to evaluate four passion fruit cultivars in combination with silicic acid concentrations (0 g L-1, 0.1 g L-1, 0.2 g L-1, 0.4 g L-1 and 0.8 g L-1), distributed in three blocks. The cultivars were BRS Gigante Amarelo, BRS Sol do Cerrado and BRS Rubi do Cerrado, BRS Mel do Cerrado and BRS Pérola do Cerrado. The seedlings were grown in a greenhouse at the State University of Western Paraná, Marechal Cândido Rondon Campus. Two evaluations were carried out, at 77 days after sowing (DAS) and 157 DAS, of plant height, collar diameter, number of leaves and SPAD index and, for the second, in addition to these, number of internodes, aerial, root and total dry mass and Dickson quality index. When comparing the silicon sources, no difference was found for plant height, collar diameter and SPAD index at 77 DAS. At 157 DAS, the application of potassium silicate increased the SPAD index and the treatment with silicic acid increased the dry mass of the stems and roots. Except for the number of leaves at 77 DAS, the cultivars responded differently to the absence and levels of doses applied. Regardless of the doses and the interaction between treatments, cultivar BRS Mel do Cerrado had the lowest averages for height and SPAD index at 77 and 157 DAS. The cultivar BRS Sol do Cerrado at the estimated dose of 0.18 g L-1 was the most suitable for producing a quality seedling according to the Dickson Quality Index (IQD) and BRS Gigante Amarelo had the highest plant height regardless of the dose level tested.
